ASUS has made a pretty wise step with establishing a subsidiary to work in China and Asia. This market grows very dynamically and can be foreseen. Since all around the world the demand on personal computers and consumer’s electronics is lower than it was expected a couple of years ago, to have strong positions on Asian market is a critical task for computer component makers. For example, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) supplies cheap solutions for cost-sensitive market for pretty long time already, now First Tech (rather unsuccessful subsidiary of Foxconn Electronics) and Tyan Computer are also entering the market.
